The Director of Career Education will lead the management and innovation of YR Media’s kid’s trajectory – from media schooling to manufacturing internship to portfolio – ensuring that the trajectory is aligned with the industry and that participants are matriculating correctly thru every YR opportunity. The Director will lead to multi-faceted media training and employment pathways for adolescents ages 14-24. This position entails leading the group in iterating application design to make certain competencies align with the media industry, create possibilities for all contributors to revel in success, and hire and supervise the training, employment, and assist offerings staff.
You will:
Lead staff in growing and imposing YR Media’s interlocking programs, including Media Education, Workforce Pathways, and Support Services, impacting ~three hundred kids yearly in Oakland. Oversee implementation and continuous information-pushed development of media and era training lessons that start and rotate quarterly. Oversee the internship placement program for the team of workers pathways that offers adolescents on-the-process education at YR’s news and art manufacturing systems.

Qualifications and Skills

Supervisory
This role supervises and oversees overall performance management of specified individuals of the Media Education, Workforce Pathways, and Support Services groups and can provide oversight to interns and contractors.
Work Environment
This is a complete-time, exempt role.
